TJ WASTE & RECYCLING WINS PRESTIGIUOUS BUSINESS AWARD FOR 'COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT'
Fareham based TJ Waste & Recycling - part of the TJ Group of companies - was named runner-up in the hotly contested 'Best Community Contribution' catergory at The Portsmouth Evening News Business Excellence Awards held at Portsmouth Guildhall last night.
The Award win was the result of an inaugral entry by TJ into the prestigious annual event which celebrates business success in the local community. The glittering black tie gala evening was presented by South Today's Sally Taylor and the Guest Speak was England World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst with an audience of over 500 business people and civic dignitaries.
TJ was singled out for its dedication to 'giving something back to the community in which it operates', specifically for its support and fundraising for Portsmouth based charity The Beneficial Foundation.
"We are thrilled to have won a Business Excellence Award for the Best Community Contribution, particularly at our first attempt," says John Gosling, Director of TJ Group. "We have a great team here and are glad that our strong ethos of becoming fully involved in the community has been recognised."
