TJ WASTE SPONSORS DENMEAD BEER FESTIVAL

TJ Waste is sponsoring Denmead Beer Festival, which will take place on Saturday 29 October at Denmead Community Centre. The sponsorship involved TJ donating money to the event, as well as supplying complimentary beer glasses that will be given out to every festival-goer.

This year marks the festival’s 22nd year and TJ are the event’s platinum sponsors. It is being held at Denmead Community Centre on School Lane, Waterlooville, with the festivities kicking off at 19.00 and drawing to a close at 23.30.

Tickets cost £10 and include the souvenir glass tankard and one drink token. Tickets are available to purchase from Denmead Community Centre, Parkers Hardware, The Forest of Bere Pub and Gino’s Hair Salon, all located in Denmead village.

There will be over 20 real ales to choose from, plus a couple of craft ales, cider, wine, prosecco and soft drinks. There will be a beer token system whereby tokens are £1.75 each or 6 for £10 which equates to £3.33 per pint as one token will get you a ½ pint.

On the night, there will be live music from Mamma Belle – they featured at the 2019 Festival and are back by popular demand. There will also be a BBQ with a range of food options available.

As a self-funding charity, all proceeds from the festival will go back into the Community Centre and the money raised will enable them to continue serving the community.

Chairman of Denmead Community Association Rob Stark said: “TJ’s MD lives in the village and we’re absolutely delighted to have them as this year’s platinum sponsor. TJ has a reputation for quality and professionalism and this carries through into their community work too. They helped in our bid to save the Fox & Hounds pub in the village 10 years ago and the fact that they are keen to keep our community thriving is highly appreciated.”

TJ sponsors a range of local events and donate to a number of charities and good causes in order to give a little something back to the community in any way they can.
