SIMON’s Bio:

job title:

Service Delivery Manager

Specialism:

My role within the organisation is to oversee Customer service and daily transport operations to ensure cost effective operation and ensure that our customers receive the best possible service without any hiccups.

Favourite part of job role:

Within the Waste operation, no two days are the same. This makes my job interesting and most enjoyable. You never know what day is ahead when you arrive. You have everything planned and then there are obstacles that arise throughout. Although, this could make the role stressful, with the correct management of resource at our disposal, I’m confident and able to achieve a preferred outcome. This makes my role incredibly satisfying when the last driver returns and its time to head off home.

Strengths:

In completing my Management & Leadership degree I have become more organised and constructive with feedback with others. My strength is in listening to others; problem solving and organisation.

Why do you enjoy working for TJ WASTE?

I enjoy working here due to the ongoing investment in my future and encouragement I receive to push my ambitions within the management & organisation of the company. My own personal development goals are being achieved thanks to the investment from the company who are extremely loyal.

LENGTH OF SERVICE:

7 years.

OUTSIDE OF WORK:

  • I enjoy spending spare time with the family and our family dog, going for walks in the park.
  • Watching professional Rugby (ideally Wasps), Football (ideally Pompey) on the TV and going to live matches as often as I can.
  • Watching my youngest boy play junior rugby at my local club.
  • I have recently returned to playing sport. I recently joined a veteran’s section of my local rugby club to play rugby again.
  • I play golf and snooker with friends when I can
