TJ donates skip to Rowans Hospice

TJ Waste donated a skip to Rowans Hospice recently, enabling them to finish clearing the premises following refurbishments. When the Rowans team got in touch last month, we were very happy to help and delivered the 8 yard skip to the Hospice the very next day!

Rowans Hospice, which is located in Purbrook, Hampshire, provides palliative and end of life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in the Southeast of Hampshire. Their highly trained hospice carers help to improve quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to both patients and their loved ones.

Their dedicated hospice care is available round the clock either in house or at home, or for day visitors in their Living Well Centre. The care provided by Rowans is free of charge; they are a charity with 90% of their income generated by legacies, donations, fundraising and retail shops. Generous donations and fundraising allows the Hospice to provide this much-needed support to the community and make a difference to so many lives.

Fundraising & Marketing Lead, Yvonne Penny-Filewod said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to TJ Waste for their invaluable support, and kindly providing the Hospice with a skip to help us clear the last of the debris from the refurbishment.”

At TJ, our skip hire service is fast and flexible, offering deliveries as quickly as the next working day (subject to availability) and in sizes from 2 yard up to 12 yard as well as 17 and 35 yard commercial roll on roll off skips suitable for large commercial projects.

We also offer a Man and Van service for other types of waste removal including office recycling collections, confidential waste, site clearance and disposal of materials that are traditionally tricky to dispose of, such as mattresses, fridge freezers and POPs items (upholstered items such as sofas and dining chairs). We work in partnership with a range of third party organisations to dispose of these materials correctly and in the most sustainable way possible.
