TJ invests in new skips to maintain excellent service
TJ Waste is taking delivery of over 80 new skips to add to its existing supply. This will ensure that we can meet the increasing needs of our domestic and commercial customers and endeavour to deliver skips as quickly as the next working day if required.
During the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for skip hire has increased amongst domestic customers, as people with more spare time at home make the decision to get on with that long-awaited DIY home or garden project.
With this new supply of skips now on-site, our most commonly hired sizes – 4 yard, 6 yard and 8 yard – are now readily available in the southern region, including the Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Southampton, Winchester, Petersfield, Havant and Chichester areas.
We also have 2 and 12 yard skips available, in addition to larger commercial skips measuring 17 and 35 yard in size. Skips can be ordered online with delivery dates of the next working day possible if booked before midday and if there is capacity to deliver on the requested date.
You can check out the dimensions of all our skip sizes – from the 2 yard mini to the 12 yard jumbo – on the individual skip pages, but to give you an idea of the capacity of our most popular skips, a 4 yard skip will hold 30-40 bin bags of waste, a 6 yard skip will hold 50-60 bin bags of waste and an 8 yard skip will hold 60-80 bin bags of waste.
The following materials are safe for skip disposal:
- Electrical cabling
- Kitchen furniture – cupboards, worktop, sinks, ovens, hobs, extractors and small electrical appliances
- Bathrooms – bathtubs, sinks, toilets, taps and showers
- Garden toys and furniture
