Terry-Higgins-PortraitTerry Higgins – Chairman

Prior to founding TJ in 1994, Terry gained a wealth of experience managing road logistics for an international container shipping company out of the UK’s largest ports, later moving to the construction transport and waste management industry as a Transport Manager. Within 10 years he became Director of the then PLC, responsible for the sales of it’s quarrying portfolio and the associated transport operations. Aged 39, Terry famously started TJ with a telephone, a portable cabin and a leased lorry, with one clear objective, to pay off the mortgage. Terry now leads the management team and is a business mentor to various non-profit organisations.

John-Gosling-PortraitJohn Gosling – Managing Director

Moving from a national waste operator overseeing landfill operations, John joined TJ in it’s infancy. He has amassed over 27 years’ experience in the waste management and haulage industry, in addition to 7 years in the construction industry where he started his professional career.  John is a multi-discipline WAMITAB holder and member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. John is a keen athlete, participating throughout the year in multiple running, marathon and triathlon events.

Jamie-Higgins-PortraitJamie Higgins – Director

Jamie has worked for TJ since 2001 with positions held throughout waste and transport operations, studying for numerous industry qualifications along the way including National Road Haulage CPC, multi discipline WAMITAB and NEBOSH. He is responsible for leading the internal site operations and health & safety strategy. Outside of work Jamie is a keen golfer and football fan.


Neil-Glazebrook-PortraitNeil Glazebrook – Director

Neil joined TJ 2004, starting as a transport operator co-ordinating the daily vehicle movements. Within 10 years he was promoted to Director, studying for numerous industry qualifications along the way including National Road Haulage CPC, multi discipline WAMITAB and NEBOSH. He is now responsible for leading the transport operations. Neil is a true family man and enjoys watching his two sons play sport most weekends.

Steve-Grant-PortraitSteve Grant – Commercial Manager

Steve has over 27 years of extensive experience in quarrying, aggregate products, ready mixed concrete and waste treatment from various roles in London and the home counties. He is responsible for TJ’s procurement network of quarries, wharves and landfills, in addition to strategically leading the sales team. Steve play’s in the West Sussex Cricket League and is a ECB Level 2 cricket coach.
