Meet Paul Smith, Commercial and Operations Manager

Paul joined TJ in April 2018 as Commercial and Operations Manager. In his 16 months at the company he has made a big impact with his hard work on various projects. Paul splits his time between Bristol and the south coast to ensure all his areas of responsibility are running smoothly.

Sand: an essential construction material

We use an estimated 15 billion tonnes of sand every year in the construction industry alone. The sand from Hythe Quarry is suitable for blinding, bedding, general fill and mortar. It is also used as a plastering sand.

Meet Operations Manager Jason Strudwick

TJ has three materials recovery facilities across the south coast at Southampton, Portsmouth and Yapton, which operate throughout the week. They are busy places with lots going on and many operations to oversee and manage. Jason Strudwick, TJ’s Operations Manager,  is responsible for the safe running of these waste operation sites.
