Kutchenhaus

Client background:

Kutchenhaus are part of Nobilia kitchens, the world’s largest kitchen manufacturer. The Kutchenhaus brand stands for quality, design and value; they’ve spent over 70 years continually investing in technology, research and product development to create kitchens that are built to last.

Kutchenhaus fitted kitchens are built to the highest standards and feature all the latest technologies you would demand from your kitchen – soft close drawers, clever corner units, progressive door hinges and more. They have their own factory and sell direct to the end consumer, cutting out all the middlemen.

Their fleet of delivery vehicles come direct from Germany to the UK warehouse and then straight to the customer, cutting out further expense; all savings made are passed directly to the customer. Kutchenhaus have showrooms throughout the UK with over 250 complete kitchens on display.

The requirement:

Kutchenhaus Romsey have a team of specialist fitters who are responsible for installing the new kitchens into the customers’ homes. Each fitter usually requires a skip for each job they undertake to clear away the existing kitchen and strip out the room, as well as dispose of all the cupboard boxes and packaging after the new kitchen has been unpacked ready for installation.

There is a requirement for either a 8-yard or 12-yard skip, depending on the size of the job, and it is usually needed for 2-3 weeks so that any waste generated throughout the duration of the job can also be added to the skip.

Kutchenhaus Romsey requires a number of skips each month, so having a reliable company to supply them, ensuring they are delivered on time and collected swiftly upon job completion is essential.

The solution:

Some of the staff at Kutchenhaus Romsey knew of TJ Waste and were confident that the service they would provide would be of a high standard, so they began using their skip hire services three years ago. Since then, Kutchenhaus Romsey have hired many skips from TJ, in and around the Romsey and Southampton areas and they continue to be extremely happy with the service.

The skips are ideal for the types of waste that the kitchen fitters need to dispose of – mostly old kitchen cupboards, worktop and some appliances, as well as  the cardboard boxes and other packaging that the new kitchen comes wrapped in. TJ is renowned for always diverting as much waste as possible from landfill, with up to 100% of materials handled being recycled or reused.

TJ offers a very reliable service, always delivering the skips on the required date and collecting them promptly at the end of each job. TJ’s delivery drivers are experienced and professional, always pleasant to deal with and helpful when carrying out the skip deliveries and collections.

Although the maximum duration of standard skip hire is usually 14 days, TJ is always flexible, extending the hire time to fit customers’ requirements as needed.

The outcome:

The Kutchenhaus team has been extremely pleased with the service provided by TJ over the past three years.

Showroom Manager Jan Lumsden said: “Everyone we’ve dealt with at TJ has always been very helpful; from the office team when you call to book a skip, to the drivers who carry out the deliveries and collections, we’ve never had an issue with anything and the service always goes very smoothly.

“Recently, I had a last-minute request for a skip and I actually contacted TJ’s General Manager, Luke Haskell, on a Saturday to ask for his help. Even though it was outside of normal working hours, he went above and beyond to get a  skip sorted for us and it was delivered on the Monday morning – fantastic service which really got me out of a hole!

“I’d be happy to recommend TJ Waste to anyone requiring skip hire in the Hampshire area and beyond.”
